Daily Devo--In Pursuit: Lessons in Leadership from sermon preached by Tim Bach, 5/4/25, Argyle Community Church, Argyle, TX

Day 1: Trusting in God's Call
Scripture Joshua 1:1-9  
Reflection: Reflect on God’s command to Joshua to be strong and courageous as he steps into leadership. Consider how God’s presence and promises equipped Joshua for his mission.  
Prayer Prompt: Ask God to reveal the areas in your life where you need to trust His calling and to give you strength and courage to pursue them.

Day 2: Faithful in Trials
Scripture 2 Timothy 1:7  
Reflection: Explore how God gives us a spirit not of fear but of power. Reflect on how this empowers you to face challenges in life with faith.  
Prayer Prompt: Pray for a deeper understanding of God’s power within you and the courage to overcome any fear or hesitation you face.

Day 3: Standing Firm in Faith
Scripture:1 Corinthians 16:13-14  
Reflection: This passage encourages believers to stand firm in faith and to do everything in love. Reflect on how love can fuel your courage in difficult situations.  
Prayer Prompt Seek God’s guidance in standing firm in your faith and ask for the ability to act with love in all you do.

Day 4: The Source of Strength
Scripture Isaiah 41:10  
Reflection:Consider God’s reassurance in this verse that He is with us and will strengthen us. Contemplate how God’s presence diminishes fear and bolsters our courage.  
Prayer Prompt: Pray for the assurance of God’s presence in your life, and the strength to rely on Him in all circumstances.

Day 5: Courage Through Obedience
Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:6  
Reflection: Reflect on the command to be strong and courageous, trusting that God goes with you and will not forsake you. Think about how obedience to God’s commands requires courage.  
Prayer Prompt: Ask for the courage to follow God’s commandments and for the strength to remain faithful, knowing He is always with you.
