The Bible Is For Me

Day 1: Understanding the Purpose of Scripture

Opening Prayer:  
Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see the wonders in Your Word. Guide us in understanding Your purpose for us through Scripture. Amen.

Scripture Reading:
2 Timothy 3:16-17  

Daily Topic:  
The Role of Scripture in Our Lives  
- Explore how the Bible is for our instruction, correction, and training in righteousness.

Life Application Follow-Up:  
Reflect on one area of your life where you need guidance or correction. Write a prayer asking God to help you through Scripture.

Closing Prayer:  
Lord, thank You for Your Word that equips us for every good work. Help us embrace its teachings daily. Amen.

Day 2: Avoiding Misinterpretation

Opening Prayer:
Father, grant us wisdom to read Your Word without confusion or bias. Amen.

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 119:105  

Daily Topic:  
The Dangers of Misinterpretation  
- Discuss the "Point and Pray" method and the importance of contextual understanding.

Life Application Follow-Up:
Identify a verse you've misunderstood in the past. Research its context using trusted resources.

God, protect us from misunderstanding Your Word. Lead us to read with clarity and insight. Amen.

Day 3: Practicing Inductive Bible Study

Opening Prayer:  
Holy Spirit, illuminate our study and guide us in Truth. Amen.

Steps of Inductive Bible Study  
- Detail the steps: Observation, Interpretation, Application.

Choose a short Psalm or New Testament passage. Practice the three steps of inductive study.

Day 4: The Cost of Discipleship

Opening Prayer:  
Jesus, help us understand what it means to truly follow You. Amen.

Counting the Cost  
- Reflect on what it means to surrender fully to Jesus.

Life Application Follow-Up:  
Identify a personal "cost" or sacrifice that you need to make to follow Jesus more closely.

Closing Prayer:  
Lord, grant us the strength to pursue You above all else, accepting the cost of discipleship. Amen.

Day 5: Transforming through Scripture

Opening Prayer:
God, we desire transformation through Your Word. Change us to reflect Christ more each day. Amen.

Romans 12:2  

Daily Topic:  
Scripture as a Transforming Power  
- Discuss how daily engagement with the Bible changes us.

Life Application Follow-Up:  
Commit to a regular Bible reading plan. Journal any changes you notice in your thoughts and actions.

Thank you, Father, for Your enduring Word. May we continually be transformed by it, living lives that glorify You. Amen.
